For professionals
Get paid for what you already know
Ollinter is a marketplace for human expertise. You set your rates, you set your hours, and you meet people live in the browser. No studio, no course to record, no audience to build first.
What you get
We handle the parts of working for yourself that are tedious, unpaid, or risky.
People who are already looking
Search, subject pages and recommendations put your profile in front of people who are looking for what you do. You do not have to build an audience first.
Your prices, your calendar
You set the rate for every offering, in your own currency, and you publish the hours you are willing to work. Nothing is booked outside them.
Payment before the session, not after
The money is taken at booking and held. You never chase an invoice. A no-show is not a lost afternoon and a lost fee.
Your words reach people who do not share your language
Your profile and offerings are translated for readers in other languages. Your original is always kept and can always be shown. We never overwrite what you wrote.
What we charge
Type the price you have in mind. We will show you what stays with you.
You would keep between €28.00 and €34.00.
Our commission is currently between 15% and 30% of the session price.
Your fee drops as you complete more sessions. Once the steps are set, this page shows exactly where you stand.
What a session actually looks like
Video, screen sharing, chat and a shared whiteboard are built into every session. We call that room Ollio. There is nothing to install.
How you get verified
Nobody is listed before a person has checked who they are. That is the reason a stranger is willing to pay you in advance.
Create your profile
Your name, what you do, the subjects you work in, and the languages you work in. Fifteen minutes, and you can come back to the rest.
Upload an identity document
It is encrypted and only our reviewers can read it. It is never shown on your profile, never given to a learner, and never leaves the region it is stored in.
A person reviews it
Not a script. Until it is approved your profile does not appear in search, on a subject page, or anywhere else a visitor can reach.
You go live
Your profile becomes visible, your hours become bookable, and your checklist turns into a short list of things that make people choose you.
How you get paid
Four steps, and you can see where any individual session sits at any time.
They pay when they book
The full amount is taken at booking. Not on the day, not afterwards.
We hold it
We hold the money. Neither of you can touch it. That is what makes a first session with a stranger fair for both sides.
It becomes yours
Once the session is done and the learner's 72-hour window to raise a problem has passed, the money is released to your balance, minus our commission.
We send it
Payouts run every week, on Monday. A balance below the minimum for its currency waits for the next round, so transfer fees do not eat it.
Learners can cancel free up to 24 hours before a session starts. Closer than that, the fee is yours, because your time was already blocked. If someone does not turn up, the same rule covers you.
Questions people ask before applying
- Do I need a teaching qualification?
- No. This is a marketplace for knowledge of every kind, not a school. You need something people want to learn or solve, and the ability to help in a live conversation. If you have formal credentials, you can add them. Once verified, they show on your profile.
- Do I have to teach lessons?
- No. Lessons are one of five things you can offer, alongside mentoring, consulting, coaching, and professional services. You choose which of them you do, per subject.
- How many hours do I have to commit to?
- None. You publish the hours you are willing to work and nothing can be booked outside them. Some people run one evening a week.
- What do I need to run a session?
- A browser, a camera, a microphone, and a stable connection. Video, screen sharing, chat and a shared whiteboard are built in. There is nothing to install.
- Can I set different prices for different things?
- Yes. Price is per offering, so a first meeting, a regular session, and a block booked in advance can each be priced differently.
- What happens if a learner disputes a session?
- They have a short window after the session to report a problem. The money stays held while a person looks at it and decides, within a set number of days. Most sessions never go near this.
- Where can I be paid?
- It depends on your country and the currency you price in. The application asks for your country, and your dashboard tells you what is available before you publish anything.
Start with one subject and one price
You can change both later. The application takes about two minutes, and the first two steps do not need an account.
