How it works
From a question to an hour with someone who can answer it
You pay for the session you book, and you can stop after one. No subscription, no minimum, nothing to install.
The whole thing, start to finish
Four steps, and you can leave at any of them.
Say what you need
Search in your own words, or browse by subject. Filter by language, price, level, and when they are free, in your timezone.
Choose a person
Every profile shows what they do, the languages they work in, real ratings from real sessions, and the price. Message them first if you want to ask something before paying.
Book a time that exists
You only see times the professional has opened, in your timezone. You pay at booking and the money is held, not sent.
Meet in your browser
A link, a camera, and a shared whiteboard. Nothing to install, on a laptop or a phone.
What a session is actually like
The room is built for working on something, not for a video call that happens to be about work.
You both see the same thing
Screen sharing and a shared whiteboard that you draw on together, live. Files you exchange stay with the session afterwards.
Chat that outlives the hour
Whatever was typed during the session is still there when you come back. A link or a correction is not lost when the call ends.
You decide what is recorded
Recording, transcript and AI are three separate questions, asked before you join. Each starts off. Say no to all three and you still get the session you paid for.
Something to take away
Where a session produces notes, homework, or a summary, it stays in your account afterwards.
What happens to your money
You are paying a stranger in advance. Here is exactly what protects you.
It is held, not sent
Your payment goes into escrow at booking. The professional cannot touch it before your session, whatever happens.
You have a window afterwards
For 72 hours after the session ends, you can report a problem from your sessions page. The money stays held while a person looks at it. Only after that window does it go to the professional.
Cancelling is free, up to a point
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and you get a full refund. Closer to the start, the time was already held for you, so there is no refund.
If they do not turn up
Wait 10 minutes. If the professional has not joined by then, the session counts as a no-show and you are refunded. No arguing needed.
If you do not speak their language
You are not limited to the professionals who happen to write in yours.
You can read them
Profiles, offerings and reviews are translated into your language, and the original is always one click away. Anything translated is labelled as translated.
You can talk to them
Sessions can carry live captions translated into your language, if you both agree to it beforehand. It is off unless you turn it on.
Common questions
- Do I need an account to look?
- No. Search, subject pages and full profiles are open to anyone. You need an account to message somebody or to book.
- Can I try somebody before committing?
- Many professionals offer a short first session at a lower price so you can find out whether you get on before booking properly.
- What if I need to move a session?
- Propose a new time from your sessions page, up to three of them. The professional picks one or says no. Or cancel and rebook while it is still free; the page tells you which it is.
- Is the video private?
- Yes. Sessions are between the people in them. Nothing is broadcast, nothing is public, and nothing is recorded unless the people in the room agreed to it first.
Real knowledge, from real people, open to anyone
Whatever you are learning or untangling, somebody here has lived it. One booked session is the only commitment you ever make.
