What we do to keep this a safe place to learn and to teach, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Before you meet anyone

Sessions happen in a room on this site. There is no reason to move to another platform, and being asked to is one of the clearest warning signs there is.
Contact details are hidden in messages until you have actually booked together. This is not us being difficult: it is what keeps a first conversation from turning into an off-platform arrangement with no record and no protection.
Professionals in categories that call for it are identity-checked before they can be booked. Where a professional displays a credential, it means a person here has seen a document supporting it.

While you are here

Every session is recorded, and both sides know it. Recordings are kept for a limited time and are held for longer if a dispute is opened.
You can block anyone. A blocked pair cannot message or book each other, in either direction, whoever blocked whom.
You can report a person from their profile, from a conversation, or from a session. Reports go to a person, not a queue nothing reads, and the person you report is not told who reported them.

Young people

There is a minimum age to use this platform, and a higher one to offer services on it. Everyone answers an eligibility question before they can book anything. An account we believe belongs to somebody under the minimum age is suspended while we check, and any money in flight is returned.

What we will not do

Some things are worth ruling out explicitly, because they are common elsewhere:

We do not use voice or face biometrics to identify you.
We do not build behavioural profiles beyond the device and network information needed to catch fraud.
We do not suspend an account automatically. A person decides, every time, and you can appeal.

If something goes wrong

Report it. If money is involved, open a dispute on the booking as well, because that is what holds the payment while it is looked at. If you believe someone is at immediate risk, contact your local emergency services first; we are not a substitute for them.
