Professional Agreement
Version 1 · In effect since July 31, 2026
> This is a first draft and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It describes how the platform actually works today and is written to be accurate, but it is not yet a settled contract.
This agreement is between you, as a professional offering your time here, and the platform.
What we do
We list what you offer, take payment from learners on your behalf, hold it until the session has happened, and pass it to you less our commission. We provide the room the session happens in, the scheduling, the messaging, and the records.
What you do
- You decide what you offer, when you are available, and what you charge.
- You turn up to what you have accepted, on time, prepared.
- You hold whatever qualifications, registrations or insurance your field requires where you live and work. We do not check that for you and cannot.
- You are responsible for your own tax and for your own legal status as a self-employed person, contractor, or business. Nothing here makes you an employee.
Money
- Prices are yours to set, in whole units of the currency you choose from the ones we support.
- Payment is taken when a learner books and is held until the session has taken place. It is not yours before then, and it is not ours either.
- Our commission is a percentage, shown to you before you publish anything and visible on every booking. It is deducted at payout, not at sale.
- Payouts run on a schedule, to the account you nominate, once the balance clears the minimum for your market.
- Refunds are covered in the booking and money rules, which apply to you as much as to the learner.
Your listings and your words
You keep ownership of everything you write and upload. You give us permission to show it, to translate it by machine into the languages we operate in, and to use it to make you findable. Your original text is always kept as you wrote it; a translation is layered on top and never replaces it.
Ranking
How you appear in search is described in a separate document in this rulebook. The short version: placement is not for sale, and there is no way to pay for a better position.
Ending it
You can stop offering at any time. Sessions already booked and paid for still have to happen or be refunded.
We can end this agreement if you break the community policy, if you cannot be verified, or if you stop turning up to work people have paid for. If we do, you are told why and you can appeal, unless telling you why would compromise an investigation, in which case you are told that instead.
What we do not promise
We do not promise you any level of demand, income, or placement. We do not promise the platform will be available without interruption. What we do promise is that the rules above are the rules we actually apply, and that when we act against you, you will be told and you will have a route to contest it.
